Our
Social

Commitment

Germinate Creative is committed to a social responsibility policy that governs our donations, mentorships, and hiring practices.
It means our involvement in community service and charitable contributions must align with the convictions we hold true, including creativity, compassion, connection, diversity, pragmatism, and adventure.
We regularly partner with clients, creators, and communities that help us strengthen our policies and activities surrounding social responsibility.

Corporate Responsibility
Commitment to corporate responsibility, anti-racism and equity
Every person deserves love, opportunity, and respect. This conviction is something I’ve been carrying with me, evolving and deepening over the past few years. Ever since the inception of my studio, I’ve been energized by the social impact organizations and clients who — no matter what work they are called do — address systemic racism and equity. It’s through these relationships and collaborations that I’ve been educated in the inequities in our justice system, school system, healthcare, and employment opportunities. In fact, it’s now clear to me these issues are directly linked to the white privilege I carry in myself every day.
That’s why this year, and every year moving forward, Germinate Creative is committed to a social responsibility policy that governs our donations, mentorships, and hiring practices. It means our involvement in community service and charitable contributions must align with the convictions we hold true.

We are committed to
Representation Matters
Equity in design
Photographs are incredibly powerful, and they play a huge role in shaping how we see the world and the people around us. Selecting photos for your brand in a deliberate and thoughtful way makes your organization more inclusive. As a creative, we understand that we choose many of the images we all see on a daily basis, and we have the power to make our culture more equitable for everyone.
For every project we work on, we are committed to choosing intentionally inclusive images. Our image search process includes working within a diverse demographic checklist of races/ethnicities, genders, ages, abilities, and body types. We are also committed to crediting the photographer and source, paying for images or donating to photographers, writing captions that highlight diverse identities, and including alt text where possible.
We have a robust list of places where we source these photos, and are happy to freely share those resources with all. Learn more with our articles here and here.
